It all started when Koen travelled throughout South-America and fell in love with a country, Ecuador, and one of its inhabitants, Stephanie. Tutamanta is the result of the love story between these two people and between their two different cultures. With a combined passion for entrepreneurship and a big heart for the environment the idea of Tutamanta sparkled: creating an innovative company that produces handmade products with respect for the local artisans who make them.
Away from fast-paced mass consumption and towards authentic and sustainable products with a unique story behind each of them.
Tutamanta means ‘morning’ in the local Quechua-language of the Ecuadorian natives and signifies the fresh start of an exciting adventure.
